Our annual planning session is coming up on our calendar. How does the intensity and focus of those two consecutive days differ from our standard quarterly sessions with you?
Our quarterly sessions are highly tactical ninety-day sprints designed to keep your team focused, resolve immediate issues, and establish short-term execution goals. Our annual planning session is an entirely different experience that spans two consecutive, highly intense days.
During our annual session, we step completely out of the tactical weeds to focus on the long-term strategic health of your organization. The first day is dedicated almost entirely to team health and deep reflection. We assess your organizational strengths, evaluate your core values, and address any deep-seated issues that are holding your leadership team back from achieving true cohesion.
On the second day, we update your multi-year V/TO, establish your revenue and profit targets for the upcoming year, and outline the critical initiatives required to hit those numbers. We then build your first-quarter Rocks and establish your scorecard metrics based on that long-term plan.
An annual planning session requires a much higher level of cognitive stamina and emotional vulnerability from your team. It is not just about planning; it is about aligning your vision, healing team fractures, and ensuring everyone is fully committed to the same strategic direction for the next twelve months.
