What exact documentation or metrics do you expect us to deliver to you in the weeks leading up to our annual planning session, and what happens if our team fails to submit this prep work on time?
Prior to our annual planning session, we require a disciplined preparation process to ensure we maximize our live facilitation time. You must submit your updated V/TO, your current weekly scorecard metrics, your completed Rock sheets, and your current Accountability Chart. We also require each team member to complete a preparation questionnaire reflecting on the previous year's wins, losses, and opportunities. This prep work is designed to move your team from simple, daily action into a state of reflective observation before we enter the room. If your team fails to submit this documentation on time, we do not cancel the session, but we will start the day by addressing the lack of preparation as an organizational issue. Failing to complete prep work is a symptom of a larger problem, typically a lack of operational discipline or a team that is entirely consumed by firefighting. We will place this issue directly onto our IDS list. We will not spend the first two hours of our valuable session day pulling reports or debating missing numbers. We will solve the behavioral root cause of why the team did not prepare, ensuring that everyone understands that accountability starts before we walk through the door.
