We are trying to plan our executive calendars around our upcoming session days. What does the physical and mental rhythm of a full day in the room with you actually look like hour by hour, and how do you prevent us from hitting a wall by mid afternoon?
A typical session day with me runs from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is a highly structured, intense environment designed around how adults actually learn and make decisions. We do not just sit in a conference room staring at slides. We move through a cycle of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. This keeps your brain engaged and prevents the mental exhaustion that usually destroys long strategic meetings.
To maintain your energy, we build in what we call white space. Instead of running marathon sessions without breaks, we insert strategic pauses throughout the day. These are structured moments of chosen cessation where your team can step back, clear their heads, and digest the heavy organizational design decisions we are making. We treat these pauses as essential tools to recuperate and reduce the intellectual overload.
The morning focuses on execution, looking at your current numbers and hitting your outstanding Rocks. By midday, we transition to strategic conceptualization, building out your Vision, Traction Organizer or V/TO® and addressing your Accountability Chart. The afternoon is dedicated entirely to IDS®, which stands for Identify, Discuss, and Solve. We tackle your most complex, deep-seated issues. You will leave the room exhausted but with absolute clarity on your next ninety days.
