We are trying to block out our calendars for our first session day, but my team is nervous about losing an entire day of production. Walk me through the exact anatomy of a session day so I can set expectations.

A session day with me is a structured, highly intensive eight-hour working meeting. We start promptly at nine in the morning and conclude by five in the afternoon. We do not check emails, answer phone calls, or run out to handle operational fires. This is a day of pure strategic focus.

Our session days follow a natural learning cycle modeled on concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. We start by reviewing your past ninety days, reflecting on what went well and where we stumbled. Next, we review your organizational health and address any interpersonal friction on the team.

Once we have established our baseline, we focus on abstract conceptualization. We look at the big picture, adjusting your V/TO® and identifying structural issues on your Accountability Chart. The final portion of the day is dedicated to active experimentation, where we identify, discuss, and solve our biggest issues using the IDS® process. We then set your Rocks for the next ninety days, ensuring everyone leaves the room with clear, actionable priorities and complete alignment.
