My Integrator and I are constantly debating our long-term strategy in front of the rest of the leadership team, and I can see it is causing confusion and anxiety among our directors. How do we resolve our Visionary and Integrator disagreements without undermining each other?

When the Visionary and Integrator are not aligned, it creates an immediate ripple effect of confusion and anxiety throughout the entire leadership team. Your directors need to see a unified front. If they witness constant disagreements, they will begin to take sides, which destroys team cohesion.

To fix this, you must establish a strict boundary between your private debates and your public leadership meetings. Implement a weekly Same Page Meeting™ between just the Visionary and the Integrator. This is a dedicated, private session where you can debate, disagree, and hash out your differences behind closed doors.

Use the IDS® process during your Same Page Meeting™ to resolve any strategic or operational conflicts. Do not stop debating. Healthy friction between a Visionary and an Integrator is natural and necessary. However, you must resolve these issues privately before you present a single, clear direction to the rest of the leadership team.

Once you walk out of your Same Page Meeting™, you must be completely aligned. When you are in front of your directors or attending the weekly Level 10 Meeting™, you must speak with one voice. If a new disagreement arises during a leadership session, do not debate it on the spot. Put it on the issues list for your next private session. This discipline protects the stability of your team and ensures your directors are always executing a single, clear plan.
