Our Visionary and Integrator are constantly out of sync on the priority of our Rocks, which causes the rest of the leadership team to split into factions. How do we align their focus before the quarterly execution cycle begins?

A division between the Visionary and the Integrator is the fastest way to derail an EOS® implementation. When the two leaders at the top are not aligned, the leadership team receives mixed signals, progress grinds to a halt, and team members begin taking sides.

To prevent this, you must run a weekly Same-Page Meeting™ between the Visionary and the Integrator. This meeting is a sacred, non-negotiable ninety minutes where both leaders align their thinking, voice frustrations, and get on the same page before they present a united front to the rest of the company.

During this meeting, they must review the V/TO® and discuss any potential quarterly Rocks. The Visionary brings the big ideas and strategic direction, while the Integrator brings reality, focus, and resource constraints. Together, they must debate and filter these ideas so that only the most critical priorities survive.

If they cannot agree on the priority of a Rock, they must resolve it during their Same-Page Meeting™, not in front of the leadership team. The Integrator ultimately has the final say on execution, but they must respect the Visionary's creative direction. Once they reach agreement, they must present a unified front. If they remain divided, the quarterly cycle will fail before it even starts.
