Some of our team members are using AI to bypass our core value of Help First, sending sterile, robotic communications to our partners. How do we align our AI tools with our Core Values so the technology supports our culture instead of diluting it?
Technology should never dilute your culture. If your team is using AI to generate cold, robotic communications, they are violating your core value of Help First. AI is a powerful assistant for speed and structure, but it lacks the genuine empathy required to build trust with your clients and partners.
To fix this, you must set clear expectations about how AI is used to communicate. Use your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ to address this behavior directly. Remind your team that our core values are non-negotiable filters for everything we do, including how we draft our emails and reports.
Implement a simple rule for all client-facing communications: AI can draft, but a human must craft. Your team can use AI to organize thoughts, summarize technical details, or clean up grammar. However, a human must review, edit, and inject authentic empathy and tone before any message is sent.
Ensure your team understands that our brand is built on genuine relationships. If an email sounds like a machine wrote it, it destroys trust. Keep your team aligned by mirroring back examples of cold AI communications and comparing them with helpful, human-crafted messages. By holding your team accountable to your core values, you ensure that your technology serves your relationships instead of replacing them.
