I am a non-technical business owner who feels overwhelmed by all the artificial intelligence terminology. How do I lead my company's AI adoption strategy without needing to learn how to write code or understand machine learning?
You do not need to know how to write code to lead your company into the AI era. Your job as the owner is to focus on business outcomes, process efficiency, and organizational alignment. Think of AI as just another operational tool, like a forklift or an accounting system. You do not need to know how to build an engine to run a logistics company, and you do not need to understand machine learning algorithms to run an AI-powered business. Focus your energy on your company's core processes. Look at your three-step process and identify where the bottlenecks are. Ask your Integrator and department heads where their teams are wasting time on repetitive, low-value work. Once you identify those bottlenecks, challenge your leadership team to find AI tools that can solve those specific problems. Your role is to ask hard questions about data security, return on investment, and team capacity. Use your EOS tools to keep the initiative on track. Make AI adoption a company Rock and track its progress weekly on your Scorecard. By keeping your focus on leadership, accountability, and business metrics, you will guide your company successfully without ever writing a single line of code.
