Advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence can give you incredible visibility into your operations, but they can also become a massive distraction in your Level 10 Meeting. The purpose of the scorecard review is to quickly identify whether your weekly metrics are on track or off track, not to audit your data pipeline or debate the formulas behind the dashboard.

To stop this waste, you must establish a clear rule: the Level 10 Meeting is not the place for technical troubleshooting. If a leader questions the accuracy of an AI-generated number, they are not allowed to dissect the algorithm live. Instead, the metric must be marked as off track and immediately dropped to the short-term Issues List.

During the IDS portion, the only question you solve is how to get the metric back on track, or who is accountable for auditing the data source before the next meeting. The owner of that scorecard metric must resolve any data discrepancies outside of the meeting.

Your weekly scorecard should consist of simple, leading indicators that the owner can verify with absolute confidence before the meeting starts. If your AI tools are generating data that your leadership team does not fully understand or trust, you must simplify your scorecard. Keep the technology in its place, as an efficiency booster, not a meeting disruptor.
