You do not need to write code to lead an AI operational transition. As the business owner, your job is to define the business outcomes, not to build the tech stack. Your deep understanding of your core processes is far more valuable than knowing how a large language model works. To lead this transition confidently, you must use your existing EOS tools.

Start with your Accountability Chart. Ensure you have a clear Integrator who has the GWC, meaning they get it, want it, and have the capacity, to oversee the technical execution of your business operations. If your Integrator is not highly technical, you can assign a seat for an AI systems champion, or bring in fractional expertise, but the accountability for operational results must remain clear.

Next, focus your leadership team on identifying operational bottlenecks. Do not ask your team what AI tools they want to buy. Instead, ask them where their teams are wasting hours on manual, repetitive tasks that do not require human relationships. Once you identify these bottlenecks, challenge your Integrator to find or build simple AI solutions that automate those specific steps.

Your role is to hold the team accountable to the numbers on your weekly Scorecard. If an AI tool is implemented, you should see your operational capacity increase or your delivery times decrease. If those metrics do not improve, demand to know why. You lead through clear expectations, rigorous accountability, and strategic alignment, not by writing code.
