I want to use AI to offload administrative tasks from my key leaders. How do we ensure this automation does not ruin our GWC alignment on the Accountability Chart?

When you use AI to automate tasks, you are not changing the structure of your Accountability Chart. You are simply changing how the work gets done within a specific seat. The person in that seat must still fully GWC, Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do, the role.

To keep your team aligned, the leader occupying the seat must maintain complete ownership over the outcomes of the automated tasks. If an AI assistant drafts weekly project summaries or schedules client meetings, the human leader is still the one held accountable on the Scorecard for the accuracy and quality of those outputs.

Before automating, clarify the exact relationship between the human and the tool. The leader must understand how the AI works, want the automation to succeed, and have the conative capacity to oversee the tool's performance.

If a leader does not understand the technology or cannot spot when it makes a mistake, they lose GWC for that portion of their seat. Keep the accountability firmly on the human, and treat the AI purely as an execution tool that enhances their individual capacity.
