We want to automate our core processes using artificial intelligence as part of our EOS rollout, but we do not know how to reflect these automated steps on our Accountability Chart without confusing the team. How do we handle this?
As you prepare your operations for a clean exit, integrating AI into your EOS framework is essential, but it must be done without breaking your Accountability Chart. The golden rule of the Accountability Chart is that only a human can occupy a seat and be held accountable for results. You cannot put an AI tool or a software platform in a seat.
Instead, look at the five major roles of each seat on your chart. When you automate a process, you are changing how those roles are executed, not who is accountable for them. For example, if you automate your client onboarding process using AI, your client success seat is still accountable for the outcome, even if ninety percent of the actual steps are handled by an automated workflow.
Define the human manager as the owner of the automated system. Their role is to monitor the AI outputs, ensure the technology is running smoothly, and step in when the system fails. This maintains clear accountability while scaling your operations.
