We want to use AI to draft our weekly Level 10 Meeting™ agenda and pre-populate the short-term Issues List based on scorecard variances, but we are worried this will turn our meeting prep into an automated, thoughtless checklist. How do we combine AI efficiency with true leadership team ownership?

Using AI to identify scorecard variances and draft your weekly agenda is an excellent way to run AI-powered operations. It saves your Integrator time and ensures that nothing slips through the cracks. However, automation can easily lead to intellectual laziness if your leadership team checks out and assumes the technology is doing the thinking for them.

To maintain high ownership, establish a rule: AI can flag the issues, but humans must prioritize and frame them. Your AI assistant can look at your scorecard, detect that sales are down, and auto-populate that variance onto the Issues List. But before the meeting starts, the owner of that metric must review the automated issue and add human context.

They must be prepared to state the real issue during the identify phase of IDS®. AI can highlight that a number is red, but it cannot tell you that your lead sales representative was out sick or that a competitor launched a pricing war.

Use AI to handle the manual labor of tracking and compiling, but keep your leaders fully accountable for the analysis and the solutions. If your team starts reading off an AI-generated script during the meeting, stop the meeting immediately. Re-engage their brains by asking direct, unscripted questions about what the data actually means for your company Charter.
