Since you run a structured engagement, what is your stance on our leadership team contacting you for ad-hoc coaching between our quarterly sessions when a major dispute or crisis hits?
The standard ninety-day cycle is designed to build self-sufficiency, but that does not mean you are stranded between sessions. I expect your leadership team to handle their own day-to-day operations and resolve standard conflicts using the tools we implement. However, if you hit a structural roadblock or a major alignment crisis, you should absolutely reach out.
We use our dedicated Circle workspace for ongoing communication. If you are facing a critical issue, your Integrator or Visionary can post the challenge there. For urgent matters, a quick phone call is entirely appropriate.
My role in these moments is not to make the decision for you or act as an arbiter of your disputes. Instead, I will help you look at the problem through the lens of the EOS® tools. I will ask you if the right people are in the right seats, if you have clearly defined the issue on your Accountability Chart, and how you are planning to IDS® it.
This approach prevents you from becoming dependent on an outside consultant. It ensures you use the tools to solve your own problems while having a safety net when a true business crisis threatens to derail your progress.
