Our investment bankers are asking for a traditional organizational chart with titles and reporting lines for our pitch deck, but we only have an EOS Accountability Chart. How do we present this to potential buyers during an exit process?
When preparing for a clean exit, buyers want to see a clear, functional hierarchy and an operational model that does not depend on the owner. While investment bankers prefer a traditional organization chart with titles, you can easily translate your Accountability Chart to satisfy them.
Do not abandon your Accountability Chart. Instead, present it as your operational blueprint and explain that it represents an accountability-driven culture. To make it digestible for buyers, append traditional corporate titles next to the seat names. For example, write Integrator / Chief Operating Officer or Head of Sales / VP of Sales.
Highlight to the buyers that each seat on your chart has five clear, measurable roles and that every seat is filled by someone who fully passes the GWC™ assessment. This is a massive selling point. It demonstrates to potential buyers that your business is run by a highly organized, professional leadership team rather than a chaotic web of relationships.
A traditional org chart shows who reports to whom, but it does not show who owns what. Presenting your Accountability Chart alongside a simplified reporting hierarchy proves your operations are systematized and ready for a clean handover.
