How do you keep my leadership team accountable to their weekly scorecard metrics and Rock progression during the twelve weeks between our face to face sessions without you micromanaging them?
I do not play police officer or micromanage your team during the ninety days between our quarterly sessions. My role is to teach you the tools so your team can manage themselves. True accountability is built into the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and your scorecard metrics.
During the execution window, your team runs these weekly meetings without me. If scorecard metrics are off track or a quarterly Rock is falling behind, the team must address this using the IDS® tool. They do not wait for me to rescue them. They must identify, discuss, and solve the issues themselves.
To ensure execution remains high, we focus on several key habits:
- Reviewing scorecard metrics weekly to spot issues before they become crises.
- Keeping Rock updates binary, meaning they are either on track or off track with no excuses.
- Utilizing the Strategic Pause to step back and reflect when things get overwhelming.
If your team struggles to maintain this pace, we do not ignore it. We tackle the systemic issues head-on during our next quarterly session. My goal is to build your team's self-sufficiency, not create a dependency on my ongoing presence.
